Masala Soya Chap
Ingredients:
- Soya chap - 6
- Butter - 1 teaspoon
- Chat Masala - 1 teaspoon
- Curd - 1 cup
- Oil - 2 tablespoon
For Gravy
- Chopped Tomatoes - 6
- Chopped Onions - 4
- Garlic cloves - 8
- Ginger - 1 inch piece
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 2 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Choti Elachi - 2
- Bay leaf - 1
- Dalchini(Cinnamon) - 1 inch piece
- Chopped coriander leaves
How to make:
- Wash soya chap nicely.
- Remove soya chap from stick and cut them into medium pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry chap till they turn light brown( in the low heat).
- Transfer it in a bowl and mix butter, chat masala and curd properly, set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry onions and garlic till they turn golden brown.
- Transfer it in a grinder and make a paste with help of water.
- Transfer it in a bowl.
- Now make the paste of tomatoes and ginger.
- When oil is heated add elaichi, bay leaf, and dalchini and roast it for 2-3 seconds.
- Add onion mixture and stir for 1 minute, add tomato paste, chill powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and salt and stir to mix.
- Fry masala over low heat till it starts leaving sides of the pan.
- Add soya chap and stir for 2-3 minutes.
- Now add 1 glass water and cover pan with a lid, and let it cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with chapati.
