Masala Soya Chap




Ingredients:

  • Soya chap  -  6
  • Butter  -  1 teaspoon
  • Chat Masala  -  1 teaspoon 
  • Curd  -  1 cup
  • Oil  -  2 tablespoon

 For Gravy

  • Chopped  Tomatoes  -  6
  • Chopped Onions  -  4 
  • Garlic cloves  -  8 
  • Ginger  -  1 inch piece 
  • Red chili powder  -  1 teaspoon 
  • Turmeric powder  -  1 teaspoon 
  • Cumin powder  -  1/2 teaspoon 
  • Coriander powder   -  2 teaspoon 
  • Salt to taste 
  • Oil  - 3 tablespoons 
  • Choti Elachi  -  2 
  • Bay leaf  -  1 
  • Dalchini(Cinnamon)  -  1 inch piece 
  • Chopped coriander leaves

How to make:

  • Wash soya chap nicely.
  • Remove soya chap from stick and cut them into medium pieces. 
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry chap till they turn light brown( in the low heat). 
  • Transfer it in a bowl and mix butter, chat masala and curd properly, set aside. 
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry onions and garlic till they turn golden brown.
  • Transfer it in a grinder and make a paste with  help of water.
  • Transfer it in a bowl. 
  • Now make the paste of tomatoes and ginger.
  • When oil is heated add elaichi, bay leaf, and dalchini and roast it for 2-3 seconds.
  • Add onion mixture and stir for 1 minute, add tomato paste, chill powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and salt and stir to mix.
  • Fry masala over low heat till it starts leaving sides of the pan. 
  • Add soya chap and stir for 2-3 minutes. 
  • Now add 1 glass water and cover pan with a lid, and let it cook over low heat for 10 minutes. 

  Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with chapati.
