Mix Dal
Ingredients:
- Arhar dal - 2 cup
- Chana dal - 1 cup
- Onion(long chopped) - 1
- Cumin powder - 2 pinch
- Hing - 1 pinch
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green chili(finely chopped) - 2
- Water - 4 cup
- Oil - 2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Sambhar Masala - 1 teaspoons
- Ghee - 2 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
How to make:
- Soak both dal for 1 hour.
- Rinse dal properly and pour in a pressure cooker.
- Add 3 cups of water, hing, turmeric powder and cumin powder.
- Pressure cook for 4-5whistles over medium heat.
- Turn off flame and allow the pressure to release naturally.
- Open the lid and keep dal aside.
- Now put a pan add oil when oil heat add onion and saute till it turns pink.
- Add 1 cup water,salt,red chili powder,coriander powder and sambhar masala.
- When water is boiled add dal in it and mix well.
- Cover the pan and cook over low flame for 3-4 minutes.
While serving add ghee to it.
