BITTERGOURD (KARELA)
INGREDIENTS :
1/2 kg Bitter gourd (karela)
5 onion (Chopped)
1/2 cup long chopped green chilli
3 tablespoon oil
1 cup water
2 teaspoon Turmeric (Haldi) powder
1 teaspoon Coriander (Dhaniya) powder
1 teaspoon Fenugreek seed
1 teaspoon aamchur powder
Salt (to taste)
HOW TO MAKE :
*Firstly peel off the bitter gourd and keep its peel aside. Now cut the bitter gourd into small pieces.
* Now wash the bitter gourd properly and take out all the water from it.
* Now take a pan, add oil in it and fry the bitter gourd till they turn light brown.
* Take out the bitter gourd and now add fenugreek seed and onion, fry them till the onions turn light brown.
* Now add green chilli, bitter gourd and peel of bitter gourd ( peel of bitter gourd should be properly washed and totally water free) and mix it for 2-3 minutes.
* Now mix turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder, and aamchur powder in water and add that water in it.
* Cook the bitter gourd on low flame until they become soft and start leaving oil. Now put of the flame.
* Your bitter gourd is ready to be served.
