SAMBHAR
INGREDIENTS :
Arhar dal - 1 cup
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Water - 3 cup
Tomato paste - 1 cup
Pumpkin ( finely Chopped) - 1 cup
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Black mustard seeds (Rai) - 1 teaspoon
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Sambhar Masala - 1 teaspoon
Tamarind paste - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Water - 3 cup
Tomato paste - 1 cup
Pumpkin ( finely Chopped) - 1 cup
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Black mustard seeds (Rai) - 1 teaspoon
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Sambhar Masala - 1 teaspoon
Tamarind paste - 1 teaspoon
HOW TO MAKE :
*Firstly, soak the Arhar dal for half an hour.
* Now boil it with water, Salt and Turmeric powder.
* Now boil the finely Chopped Pumpkin in another pan. Once it is boiled mash these pumpkin with the help of spoon.
* Now place a pan on the flame and add oil in it, once it is heated add rai and Cumin seeds in it, and saute it until they turn Brown.
* Now add tomato paste in it and keep cooking it until the paste starts leaving the pan.
* Now add those mashed pumpkin in it and stir it for 1 minute, now add Arhar dal in it and stir continously.
* Now add Tamarind paste and sambhar Masala, mix it well and let it cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
* Once the sambhar is cooked, put off the flame and Garnish it with coriander leaves.
* Now it is ready, serve it with idli.
