Gooseberry(Amla) Jam





Ingredients:
  • Gooseberry flesh-1 kg.
  • Sugar-1 kg.
  • Cumin seeds-3 gms.
  • Black pepper-3 gms.
  • Black cardamom-3 gms.
  • Cinnamon-3 gms.
  • Fenugreek seeds-1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder-1 teaspoon
  • Salt as per your taste.
  • Clove-1 gm.
  • Rasins-25 gms.
  • Dry dates-50 gms.
  • Acetic Acid-2 tea spoon
How to prepare:
  1. Grind all the spices.
  2. Boil the gooseberry and form a paste.
  3. Now put a pan on heat and pour the goose berry paste in it.
  4. Add sugar to it and keep it for cooking.
  5. When the sugar gets melted then add dry fruits,powdered cardamom,black pepper,cinnamon,clove and turmeric .
  6. When it starts getting thick then add powdered fenugreek seeds and cumin seeds.
  7. Cook it until it becomes as thick as a jam.
  8. Now mix salt and acetic acid properly.
  9. Take off the pan from heat and when it cools pur it in a wide mouthed bottle.
